Learning & Outreach
Educational Visits & Youth Groups
The Collection is an ideal place for hands-on education and training in aviation-related topics for young people and adults alike.
Educational Visits
We are happy to host educational visits by schools and other youth organisations, either on a one-off basis or as part of a series of visits.
Our collection offers an engaging way to explore aviation, engineering, and the stories behind the aircraft through a memorable group experience.
STEM & Group Support
We can provide Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) training for appropriate groups of children.
We will also consider group membership for suitable youth organisations, providing discounted entry for a particular group over a period of a year rather than individual entry.
We have carried out risk assessments and are happy to share them with appropriate organisations.

STEM in Action
A visit to our Aviation Collection presents an outstanding opportunity for students to discover Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in action through our award-winning exhibits, displays, demonstrations, and interactive workshops.
Our expert guides will be on hand to bring each subject to life by:
- Explaining the science of how aircraft fly, including practical demonstrations of lift
- Showing the development of aero engines and the technological advances behind them
- Exploring the different engineering materials used to make aircraft, both in the past and present
- Taking up the navigation challenge by using maths to plan a route from take-off to landing
We will plan your visit to help spark your students’ interest in STEM, while supporting and enhancing their learning.
