“Splendid museum with knowledgeable volunteers and most unusually hands on is encouraged, if a cockpit has a ladder you can climb in.”

“We went back today and WOW, it has got even better! More aeroplanes and helicopters, in fact both hangars are effectively full. The exhibit my eldest (15) and I liked the most was the Lancaster Bomber cockpit. The detail is stunning, the radio operator’s table, the navigators map table and the bomb guidance “cradle” below the pilot. Just brilliantly re-built.”

“What an incredible museum! A very warm welcome on arrival, lots of information about the displays and accessible aircraft/cockpits. A superb guided tour of the Lancaster reproduction cockpit section, our guide was extremely knowledgeable. Lots of aircraft to get up close and personal with, a rare treat at an aviation museum”
